It speaks of the story of middle-aged slave, named Uncle Tom and his family. Their brutal lives of slaves and their fight for freedom. • 5. The book was best selling next to the Bible.
Why was it written? • 1. The book was written to show the ugliest and cruelest parts of slavery • 2. The book was written from an anti-slavery view • 3. It also showed how Christian love could overcome slavery of human beings • 4. This book became the foundation in starting the Civil War between the North and South.
