  2. The following is a demonstration of the web-based review tool. Please keep all information in this slide show confidential. Thank you, The Research Team

  3. Accessing the Template Every template user receives a username and password The template can be accessed from www.rebcanada.ca Log-in information is provided by the research assistant

  4. Education The template provides educational resources for REB members Educational resources can be found on the background and education pages The information signs beside review questions trigger the relevant educational information for that subject

  5. For REB Reviewers Goal is to facilitate the creation of generalizable, consistent, and reproducible reviews 3 main sections of the review: Protocol, Investigator’s Brochure, and Informed Consent

  6. Completing a Review continued The review template is a series of questions designed to guide the reviewer through the review process Various types of questions are asked, some require text answers, others are a simply check box Based on the answer to specific questions, more questions appear where clarification is necessary

  7. Completing a Review continued Reviews can be printed and saved as a PDF file Every version of the review saved is time and date stamped A review summary, including just the comments the reviewer selects, can also be printed and saved as a PDF file

  8. Completing a Review continued Reviewers can select and alter who has access to their reviews Other members of the committee can be given no access, read-only, or access to edit Any comment made by another committee member will be headed with their name

  9. For REB Coordinators REB Coordinators have a different account on the template Coordinators have access to members’ completed reviews Coordinators may create meetings and assign the applications for review All information is then relayed to the committee’s reviewers
