ENTITLEMENT OF UNMARRIED DAUGHTER FOR FAMILY PENSION BEYOND 25 YEARS OF AGE • UNMARRIED DAUGHTERS WILL ALSO BE ELIGIBLE FOR FAMILY PENSION BEYOND 25 YEARS OF AGE AT PAR WITH THE WIDOWED/DIVORCED DAUGHTERS • EFFECTIVE DATE OF IMPLEMENTATION OF GOVT ORDER IS 06 SEP 07 • Authority : GOI, MOD LETTER NO. 1(3)/2007/D(Pen/Policy) dated 25 OOCT 07

ENTITLEMENT OF DR ON FULL PENSION TO PSUs ABRSORBEES WHO HAVE DRAWN LUMP-SUM PAYMENT IN LIEU OF PRO-RATA PENSION • EARLIER DR ON RESTORED PROTION OF 43% PENSION WAS ONLY PAYABLE • NOW • DR ON FULL PENSION (BP+DP) IS PAYABLE • BENEFIT OF REVISION ADMISSIBLE FROM THE DATE , 43% PENSION IS RESTORED • PSAs HAVE BEEN DIRECTED TO REVISE THE PENSION SUO-MOTO • PENSIONERS MAY APPLY IN THEIR OWN INTEREST TO PCDA(N) THROUGH PDA ON THE PRESCRIBED APPLICATION FORM • Authority : GOI, MOD LETTER NO. 14/2007-D(Pen/Policy) DATED 04 DEC 07 EXAMPLE

DISABILITY ELEMENT BE PAID AT 30% OF LAST PAY DRAWN SUBJECT TO THE MINIMUM OF Rs.1550.00 P.M • REMOVAL OF:- • TEN YEARS QUALIFYING SERVICE FOR INVALID PENSION • BAR OF VOLUNTARY RETIREMENT FOR GRANT OF DISABILITY PENSION • LOWER LIMIT OF 20% DISABILITY FOR GRANT OF DISABILITY PENSION • CONSTANT ATTENDANT ALLOWANCE (Rs.600.00 P.M) BE RAISED TO MINIMUM WAGES

COMMUTATION OF PENSION • MAXIMUM LIMIT BE ENHANCED FROM 43% TO 50% • PERIOD OF RESTRORATION OF CVP BE REDUCED FROM • 15 YRS TO 12 YRS • RETIREMENT GRATUITY • REMOVAL OF CEILING:- • MINIMUM FIVE YEARS SERVICE • RS. 3.5 LAKH • MISCELLANEOUS • COUNTING OF FULL FORMER SERVICE IN LOWER DECK FOR • PRE-1986 RETIREES • MEDICAL ALLOWANCE BE INCREASED FROM Rs. 100.00 P.M TO Rs. 500.00 P.M

  11. ENTITLEMENT OF NOK IN EVENT OF DEATH OF PENSIONER

  12. ENTITLED TO FAMILY PENSION AT ENHANCED RATES (50% OF LPD)

  13. PROCEDURE • NOK TO OPEN A PENSION ACCOUNT. • ACOPY OF THE DEATH CERTIFICATE OF THE PENSIONER TO BE GIVEN TO THE PDA (BANK). • PDA IS TO AUTOMATICALLY COMMENCE FAMILY PENSION.

  14. EFFECT OF RESTORATION OF PENSION ON DA

  15. DA PAYABLE TO PENSIONERS BASED ON BASIC PENSION. • HENCE NO BEARING ON RESIDUAL PENSION OR COMMUTED PORTION OF PENSION. • RESTORATION OF COMMUTED PORTION WILL HAVE NO EFFECT ON DA.

  16. EXAMPLE • BASIC PENSION (BP) : Rs. 10000.00 • COMMUTED PORTION (CP) : Rs. 4300.00 • RESIDUAL PENSION (RP) : Rs. 5700.00 • DA IS APPLICABLE ON BP VIZ.: Rs. 10000.00

PROPOSALS REFERRED TO VIth CPC TERMINAL BENEFITS – SSC vis-à-vis REGULAR COMMISSIONED OFFICERS • ON COMPLETION OF 10 YEARS OF SERVICE GRATUITY • SSC OFFICERS ARE ENTITLED TO- • TERMINAL GRATUITY. ½ MONTH’S RECKONABLE EMOLUMENTS FOR EVERY SIX MONTHS COMPLETED SERVICE. • REGULAR COMMISSION OFFICERS (PREMATURE RELEASE)ARE ENTITLED TO- • RETIRING/SERVICE GRATUITY. ½ MONTH’S RECKONABLE EMOLUMENTS FOR EVERY SIX MONTHS COMPLETED SERVICE. • DCRG/RETIREMENT GRATUITY. ¼ OF THE RECKONABLE EMOLUMENTS FOR EVERY SIX MONTHS SERVICE SUBJECT TO A MAXIMUM OF 16 ½ TIMES OF EMOLUMENTS OR RS. 3,50,000/- WHICHEVER IS LESS.
