  4. Class of 2014 Listen Up! Want to graduate June 2014 but need to make up a F GRADE in Science, Social Studies or English? • Then this is your opportunity to make things right. Monday, October 21 is the first day of High School Diploma Program aka: night school •  If you haven’t already received or submitted your application see your counselor ASAP!  • The form requires parent/guardian signature and needs to be returned no later than Friday, Oct 18th.  • (NOTE: math will be offered in January)

  5. Academic League News! Hoover's first-ever nationally-rated Quiz Bowl match victory!!!!! Congratulations to Miguel, Brittany, Mirella, Anadela, and Salam for earning the victory against Francis Parker. Hoover’s ACADEMIC LEAGUE team meets Tuesdays in room 1303 at 2:40pm. Members old and new are welcome. Stop by for more information. See you here!!

Interested in JOINING the HOOVER WRESTLING TEAM? • There will be a short meeting in the wrestling room right after school Thursday 10/17 to begin weight assessments and to go over information for the upcoming season, including the Xmas tree fundraiser. • The season officially begins in one month (November 16) so please plan on attending.   --Coach Hoskisson

  9. OPEN Wrestling Room every Tuesday and Thursday. • We also have Strength Training in the weight room Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Everyone is welcome. • Meet right after school by the wrestling room (in back of the Big Gym under the upper bleachers). • Come work out and learn new moves and/or what the sport of wrestling is all about. We are looking for male and female wrestlers of all sizes. Come see if you have what it takes!     Coach Hoskisson

  20. Saturday School this Saturday October 19th, 2013 8:00am-12:00pm. Come and clear your detentions and get off the LOP list. Students will meet no later than 8am in the front quad where they will be assigned a classroom for the four hours. Students must stay in Saturday School for the entire four hours to receive credit. All Saturday School dates will soon be up on the Hoover website calendar.

  21. Detention This Week • Detention will be held every day after school in Room 405/Computer Lab.  • Please tell students to enter through the outside door, not the Library.  • Detention starts at 2:30 and ends at 3:30.  • Students must be ON TIME to receive detention credit.
