  1. FRQ Summary 50 % of your total score on the AP EXAM!  4 Questions in 100 minutes~~ Each essay is 12.5 % of your overall grade!

  2. 25 minutes per question… • You don’t have tons of time. • You don’t have to prepare well-prepared thesis statements. • Answers must be very specific. • Answer the Question. • Answer in order and use examples. • Stick to the question.

  3. Make the reader happy! • Don’t make the reader frustrated and have to work hard to find the answer. • Readers give points, they don’t take points away. • Make it clear and easy for the reader to read, you can score higher! (psychology) • Answer questions in order (a, b, c, d)

  4. Don’t Ramble!!! • The result will be contradictions and mistakes. • Avoid 1st person writing… I think , I believe… they simply don’t care. Answer the question..

  5. The Constitution provides for a system to limit the power of the Federal Government. • A. Explain the concepts of separation of powers and checks and balances as outlined in the Constitution. • B. Give an example of checks and balances for each of the 3 branches of government. • (5 pts)?
