Current Status/Approach Current Requests Concerns & Comments 1 2 Business Operations Global Devices • Global and in-region LATAM Teams • Requesting both scenario planning and reporting capabilities • Regional roll-out in LATAM agreed to by these teams • Requested by Finance on behalf of Terry Vega’s organization • Focused on reporting not scenario planning • Request is to expand beyond GM & into OE Customers Initiating the Request • Margin & P/L Reporting: • Gross margin drilldowns by product, customer & platform • Detailed visibility to margin lines (units, ASP, DM, CC, etc.) • Product, customer & platform reporting at a contribution margin and operating earnings level • Self-service near real-time visibility targeted to the right personnel in our organizations • Margin Planning: • Margin planning at a product & customer level (what-if scenarios and forecast lockdown) • Margin comparative analysis dashboard (actuals vs. forecast vs. scenarios) • Regional Roll-out (Track One) • Pilot and roll-out within LATAM (MD GtM) • Intended to port current tool utilized in iDEN into MD • P&L Visibility for Global Devices (Track Two) • Pending PO approval to initiate requirements phase • High-level request has significant overlap with Business Operations request • Project initiation: • Team assigned to gather requirements and initiate delivery is on hold pending WO exception process • Difference of Approach: • Finance providing similar data as a “point-in-time” presentation to business partners • Request for this tool is to provide near real-time self-service reporting with pertinent drill-downs Note: Slide taken from Jose Hernandez’s Margin Planning Initiative presentation
