University of Basrah • Established in 1964 with 4 Colleges (Arts, Sciences, Engineering and Law) • At that time it was affiliated to the university of Baghdad then become separated with Law (#8) in 1967 • It has now 19 colleges and numbers of research centers distributed over 3 main campuses with the city

Clinical Skill Lab established in 2007 aimed at providing medical students with Tools for training on different procedures and life support technique especially in cases when these procedure is difficult to be done on real patients • Different equipment's with Advance technology that mimic real patient support training in field of Medicine Surgery, Gynecology and Pediatrics
