  3. John 8:1-11 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught committing a crime. They made her stand before the groupand said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught sinning.In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women.Now what do you say?”They were using this question as a trap,in order to have a basis for accusing him. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger.“Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stoneat her.” At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there.Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” “No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you,”Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”

  5. Realise You Potential RAG week this year is supporting 3 charities all of which are trying to help people round the world Realise Their Potential. Look at the following slides and decide on at least one thing you will support to ensure that you help others Realise their Potential.

  6. All Years RAG Week Young Epilepsy • “Better futures for young lives with epilepsy” • 112 000 children and young people in the UK living with epilepsy • They campaign for better treatment services and to raise awareness

  7. All Years RAG Week Beth’s Granddad! OliveAid – Planting olive trees to reduce poverty OliveAid aims to help Palestinian communities by replanting olive trees, providing families with a sustainable income from olives and olive based products. OliveAid works with Bethlehem University providing scholarships for students who cannot afford to go to university

  8. All Years RAG Week Lutengo United Link School, Uganda In 2003, the Guildford Mukono Link was created between Guildford and Mukono, a rural town in Uganda with a population of 60,000. In 2007, St. Peter’s paid for second hand computers to be sent to Lutengo – enabling the establishment of a computer room. We have also generously contributed to the building of the Boys’ dormitory at Lutengo. We are now looking to fund similar projects in Lutengo, and we can only do this through your support during RAG Week!

  9. All Years RAG Week Teachers vs Sixth Form Basketball Game Shooting RAG Week off to a flying start with the annual Teacher vs Sixth Form Basketball Game. Continuing on from the popularity of last years event, the event will feature a surprise Teacher Team vs The Sixth Form. Entry - £1 Monday lunchtime @ Sports Hall, start at 12.35, finish at 1.10 Shoot some Hoops!!

  17. Scientist of the Week: Congratulations to NarehGhazabian 7JE. Nareh taught her seven year old brother the pH scale and got him to draw a poster of it for her lesson.

  18. Well done to the Year 8 and 10 Netball teams who travelled to George Abbott on Wednesday and both came away with impressive wins. The Year 8 team battled hard and kept cool heads to win 18-12. The Year 10 team after a slow start ran away with the game to win 29-15 Well done to all the ladies who played!!!!

  19. Pi competition winners 4th place – Fay Humphries (7FL) 37dp 3rd place – Mary Barrett (10SO) 52dp 2nd place – Aimee Johnston-Naylor (8FA) 55dp 1st place – Althea Castaneda (9LO) Altea successfully recited pi to123dp What an amazing memory!! Well done to all who took part.

  20. All Years Monitoring Software As part of our ongoing drive to keep all students safe and protected, we are introducing new software to all school computers. This means that everything you type, search or do on any school computer is being monitored. If you do do anything inappropriate on computers at school, we will know and you will be sanctioned accordingly. BE RESPONSIBLE

  21. All Years Homework Club A reminder that Homework Club is for students completing Homework ONLY. Games, watching TV programmes etc are not acceptable uses of Homework Club and normal school rules apply throughout the club including the use of mobile phones being prohibited.

  22. Years 7-8 Student Voice We have a meeting Period 5 on Wednesday in the Dining Hall where we will be meeting our Canteen ladies to discuss new ideas!

  23. Years 8 - 13 Curious Incident Trip – Apollo Theatre Tuesday 19th March (tomorrow!) If you are coming on the trip, meet in the Purple Lobby at 4.30pm. You may want to bring a small amount of spending money and you may wear mufti. We should be back at school by 10.45 but we will ask you to text/call parents/carers on the way home with definite timings. We’re so excited!

  24. All Years My name is Ruth Pike and I’m in lower sixth. For RAG week, on 24th March, I’m going to be doing a skydive to raise money for Young Epilepsy. Young Epilepsy are a charity based in Surrey that provide much needed help and support to those with epilepsy and their families. All Years Numeracy Tip of the Week How quickly can you do the following sum? 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + ……………. + 97 + 98 + 99 + 100 Gauss as a very young boy shouted out 5050 after a few seconds his teacher was impressed and asked how he did it. 1 + 100 = 101 2 + 99 = 101 3 + 98 = 101 etc he said there are 50 lots of 101 = 5050 Look to pair off numbers to make addition quicker

  33. Year 12/13 6th Form Exercise Club The Gym fitness equipment is available to use by 6th Form students from 7.30am to 8.30am every morning. Conditions apply and students must pass an induction with a member of the PE staff before access to the equipment is granted.
