  1. Each One Reach One NAWDP 2009

Introduction • The Each One Reach One Campaign was introduced at the NAWDP 20th Annual Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota. • The objective is to have each member of NAWDP bring on a new member to the association so that we may have a stronger voice and better serve our workforce development community.

  3. Background • NAWDP was founded to provide professional development and representation to the individuals workforce development field. The mission of the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals is to be the national voice for the profession and meet the individual professional development needs of the membership.

  4. Significance • The more individuals that form NAWDP’s membership, the more opportunities we have to reach those communities that have gone untouched, without a voice.

  5. Significance • Workforce Development Professionals like you play a crucial role in re-building America’s economy. NAWDP provides our members with the tools and resources needed to directly strengthen our local communities.

  6. Professional Development • NAWDP members receive the professional advantage to enhance their skills and promote their careers. NAWDP offers a variety of growth opportunities such as: • Conferences • E-Learning Opportunities • Career Center • NAWDP Publications • Certified Workforce Development Professionals (CWDP) Program

  7. Conferences NAWDP supports national and regional conferences that address the professional development needs of workforce development professionals. NAWDP members receive discounts to events such as: • NAWDP Annual Conference • NAWDP Annual Youth Development Symposium

E-Learning Opportunities • NAWDP has partnered with The Maryland Institute for Workforce Excellence and the Dynamic Works Institute to provide NAWDP members with discounted online training. • Most training programs are aligned with the NAWDP’s CWDP competencies. We also offer workshops that members may attend in their region.

  9. Career Center • NAWDP Career Center (http://careers.nawdp.org) is the premier electronic recruitment resource for the industry. Here, employers and recruiters can access the most qualified talent pool with relevant work experience to fulfill staffing needs.

NAWDP Publications • NAWDP publishes information of interest to workforce development professionals, including a monthly newsletter (The NAWDP Advantage); a journal (Journal of Workforce Development) books and professional manuals and skills kits.  • NAWDP is the exclusive distributor of two specialized manuals on calculating ROI of social programs and running job fairs.

CWDP Programs • The Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP) is a nationally recognized certification accepted throughout the country.   • CWDPs are individuals who have demonstrated to their peers that they have the:  • Skill • Education • Experience • Ethics, and • Commitment to professionalism  to provide the highest quality workforce development services to our nation's job seekers and businesses.

  12. New Initiative – New Option NAWDP is sensitive to the concerns of our workforce system stakeholders. We have designed a new membership model that now makes it possible for you to purchase an Organization Membership An Organizational Membership for five or more employees provides your employees with all benefits of NAWDP membership. If any of the employees should leave your employ, you would simply identify another employee to receive the membership.
