Why Plan? • Motivation – reaffirm reasons for being there • Clarity – purpose / vision / roles • Aligns the team in direction of travel • Builds confidence in all involved • Performance under pressure – emotion driven by logic • Accountability – athlete / coach / wider team • Short term steps vs long term pressure • Gives the reasonsbehind the struggle • Documents lessons learned • Breaks long term dreams into measurable achievable steps • Enables commitment to NOW and improvement • Makes winning more likely
