  1. How a cell is like a horse show. By: Danielle

  2. Cell membraneorfence around show ring • The cell membrane observes what goes in and out of the cell at certain times. A show fence only allows certain horses and their riders in at certain times during certain shows just like a cell membrane watches what goes in and out

  3. Cytoplasmorsand in the show arena • Sand is what is inside the arena and keeps everything in place. In barrel racing and pole bending it holds the barrels and poles in place

  4. Lysosomesorowners and helpers • Lysosomes clean up and dispose of cell waste. • Just like horse owners clean and dispose of horse waste.

  5. Mitochondriaorsnack booth • A mitochondria provides food for the cell. • A snack booth in the same way provides food for the exhibitors.

  6. Ribosomesorchef • The ribosomes make proteins for the cell. • The chef in the same way makes all different food for everyone who is showing or watching.

  7. Endoplasmic reticulumortrailers and walk ways • The E.R works as a moving way for all things in the cell that needs transported. • Just like trailers bring horses to the shows and the walk ways allow you to go from one way to another.

  8. Golgi bodyorthe ribbon maker • A Golgi body packages everything in the cell. • A ribbon maker provides awards for the show packages them and brings them to whoever needs them.

  9. Nuclear membraneor judges stand • A nuclear membrane keeps everything together for the nucleus. • A judges stand holds all the information to help the judge keep everything together and organized.

  10. Nucleusorjudge • The nucleus runs everything in the cell. • The judge keeps everything running and tells all the horses what to do.

  11. Chromosomesor show coordinator • The chromosomes hold the DNAfor what the cell is going to look like and how big it will be also. • The show coordinator holds all the information on what the show is going to be like, how many classes there will be to compete in , and where it will be held.
