  2. Department of Allied Health Major: • Dental Hygiene •  The program operates a clinic in which it's students treat patients under the supervision of dental hygiene faculty members #HeadForTheHill

  3. Department of Applied Human Sciences Majors: • Family and Consumer Sciences (3 concentrations) • Hospitality Management and Dietetics (3 concentrations) • Interior Design and Fashion Merchandising (2 concentrations) Just some fun facts: There is a student led dining experience every Fall and an alumna of the IDFM program was on Lifetime TV’s “Project Runway” #HeadForTheHill

  4. Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders Major: • Communication Disorders • Prepares students academically for graduate study in speech-language pathology, audiology, or related areas.  A master's degree is required for national certification in speech-language pathology and a clinical doctorate is required for national certification in audiology. The American Sign Language Minor is in CSD #HeadForTheHill

School of Kinesiology, Recreation, & Sport Majors: • Exercise Science • Physical Education • Recreation Administration • Sport Management The WKU Challenge Course provides a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for the WKU campus and surrounding community by delivering experiences that provide a sense of accomplishment and develop leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills for individuals and groups #HeadForTheHill

  6. School of Nursing Major: • Nursing (Pre-licensure BSN) • Provides training in areas such as communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills, all of which are becoming more important as nursing practice becomes more complex.  Supervised clinical experience is provided in the hospital departments such as pediatrics, psychiatric, maternity, and surgery. We encourage you to tour the simulation labs! #HeadForTheHill

  7. Department of Physical Therapy Doctorate Program: • Physical Therapy • 3 year Program • Bachelor’s degree required (majors can include: Exercise Science, Health Sciences) • Selective Admission #HeadForTheHill

Department of Public Health Majors: • Environmental Health Sciences • Health Information Management • Health Sciences • Healthcare Administration • Public Health Mission: Prepare highly competent, public health practitioners through instruction, research and service, and to enhance the health status and quality of life of diverse populations in local, state, national, and global communities. #HeadForTheHill
