  1. Student Placement and Grading Procedures

  2. Tracking Sheets Notebook • A tracking sheet should be printed at the end of each semester and kept notebook for students assigned to the class at the end of the semester. At the end of the school term the tracking sheets for both semesters should be turned into the Guidance Counselor and Lead Teacher and filed for one year. • These tracking sheets should contain current information on each students. The tracking sheet should include your initial need to each grade that is recorded.

  3. Curriculum Activity Packets (CAPs) • New CAPs format correlates more closely to Whole Group Units of Instruction • Teachers should mark the block next to any activities on the CAPs that are being modified for students who require some instructional modifications to complete the course. The block need to be marked with a colored pen or pencil. • Teachers should initial grades placed on the CAPs sheet and include a final grade for assignments completed on each CAPs

  4. Teacher should mark assignments that students are to complete. Teacher should average all assignments completed on the CAP and write the final grade, date, and initial. FINAL GRADE: 80%6/9/11 CWB

  5. Course Completion • Course Completion letter should be submitted by the teacher to the Principal and/or Lead teacher prior to entering the grade for the last CAP of the course into the computer. • Once the Principal and/or Lead teacher approval is obtained, final CAP grade is entered, and Tracking sheet is submitted, then the course change can be made.

  7. CAPs Chart • There should be a systematic way of placing students in the appropriate CAPs when they do not enter the course at the beginning of a semester • The following chart describes how/where to place youth throughout the semester in the appropriate CAPs
