  1. Math Flashcards By:Keyunte Kelley

  2. Step 1: Divide to change to a decimal. • (only use 2 decimal places) • Step 2 :Put on a number line Ordering Fractions

  3. Rules • Only one number can be in front of the decimal it cant be zero. • Ex: 3.2 x 104 • 3.2000 Scientific Notation

  4. (Same-Change-Change) • 1st stays the same • Change to multiplication. • Change 2nd one to its inverse(flip it over)Multiply. • Reciprocal- flip the number. Division of Fraction

  5. Absolute value: Distance from Zero • Integers are negative & positive numbers. • Addition rules: if signs are the same keep the sign and add Ex. -3 + -4=-7 • Signs are different subtract and keep sign on the one that is greater(largest absolute value) Integers

  6. Find the missing value • 1. Cross Multiply • 2. Then solve a 1 step equation. Proportions

  7. Scale factor is the number you multiply in order to make a shape larger or smaller. • Dilation is when an enlarged or made smaller by multiplying each side or point by the scale factor. Dilation & Scale factor

  8. Probability is what should happen in a given event. • Sample events is set up of all possible outcomes in an experiment. • Experimental probability is what actually happens during the event. Probability

  9. If you are looking for C or the hypotenuse then you use A + B = C • If your looking for B you use A - C = B Pythagorean Theorem

  10. Scatter plots are similar to line graphs in that they use horizontal & vertical axis to plot data points. Positive correlation goes up. Negative correlation goes down. And no correlation is just scattered every were(no pattern) Scatter Plots

  11. Box and whiskers is a graph that displays the highest & lowest quarters as whiskers. The middle two of the data as the box & the median. Box and Whiskers

  12. A circle graph shows parts of a whole. Circle Graph

  13. Number over denominator times Number over denominator. When multiplying mixed numbers you change to improper fractions step 2 to multiply top times top bottom times bottom. Multiplying Fractions

  14. Bar graphs displays date in a horizontal or vertical bars. Bar Graph

  15. A Coordinate Plane is an important tool for working with these equations. It is formed by a horizontal number line, called the x-axis, and a vertical number line, called the y-axis. The two axes intersect at a point called the origin. Coordinate Plane
