Collaboration in the World Language Classroom Objective: To provide examples of how technology can be implemented as a means of fomenting collaborative work in the world language classroom while strengthening the fundamental skills we strive for our children to achieve.   4. Lesson #1: Asynchronous communication through Wimba Voiceboards or Discussion boards Lesson #2: Writing assignment corrected by native speaker Lesson #3: Virtual lessons developed collaboratively which allow for PBL work while strengthening aural, oral, writing and reading skills

  5. Lesson #1: Asynchronous communication through Voiceboards or Discussion Boards Technology tools employed: Wimba Voiceboards Discussion boards on Canvas Voxopop (free and easy but limited)

Collaborative development of on-line mini-lesson Sample Assignment #1: Research the historical context for a work of literature or a movie and create a mini-lesson for classmates teaching what you learned. Support your lesson with an on-line resource Sample Assignment #2: Identify a challenge faced by the Peruvian community related health service, malnutrition or infectious diseases and propose a plan of action that can be implemented by to the students group traveling on the Service and Learning Trip to Peru this year. Present your findings and proposal through a web presence.
