Main Events 2008 - 1 • 2008, March 28, submission of NTT proposal Urgent, see comments by D’Odorico Action for Claudia: send to Paradis all dates of observations of Crab • 2008, Apr. 4- 6 Aqueye at the 182 cm (new Moon the 6th) Observing Schedule: Pulsar Crab, no filter, main purposes check clock, check acquisition software, 2 h Orion Nebula, main purpose HBTII, narrow band filters, 1 h A bright (6th) single star (no filter), main purpose check acquistion software, check guiding and seeing, 0.5 h A bright (1th) star (betelgeuse), narrow band filters, main purpose check HBTI, a planet?? check seeing, 0.5 h Quasar 3C273, 13th mag) main purpose check variability, check g(2), 1h 1 variable star with know long period (say 100-200 second) plus high frequency flickering, 3 h Total: 2+1+0.5+0.5+1+3 = 8 h, not necessarily all same night

Main events 2008 - 2 • Apr. 5: start of IQuEye design • Apr. 12: submission of 182cm proposal, not for TNG, wait for next application time (summer time) • April 14: start of joint discussion UPd Ljubljana, main topics: timing, continous vs trigger mode (Occhipinti, Facchinetti, Capraro, Zoccarato) (Paradiz, Ponikvar, Lautar) (Centro) • April 21, delivery of SPADs • May 9: Decision on best acquistion mode • May 9: Decision on final precision we can promise for Harrison (500 ns, based of the width of pulses and expected numbers of photon per pulse) • Jun. 5-6: Harrison Meeting (Nottingham, final document on design of instrument) • June 16-17: end of IQuEye design, critical review, start of construction, intervention of Lujbljana in the decision. • Jun. 23- Jul 3: SPIE + OSIRIS Marseille • July 18: final decisions on UPd and Ljubljana systems for October runs. • Sept. 19: Dedication of MAGIC II(important for political reasons)

Main events 2008 - 3 • Oct. 9-12 Aqueye at 182 (Harrison) (first quarter the 7th)* Revise the observing schedule, but Crab Pulsar has highest priority • Oct. 14-15 tbc Harrison Workshop (full Moon the 14th)** • Oct. 23-28 Aqueye at 182 (Harrison) (last quarter the 21st)* • Oct. 30-31, Harrison Meeting Rome • November, end of IQuEye construction, assembly, testing • Dec. 5, Harrison closing meeting Torino • Dec. 19 end of IQuEye tests, readiness *Preliminary agreement with OAPd, dates to be confirmed ** is it necessary? To be discussed

  5. Main Events - 2009 • Request for new funds? • End of January – February observations at NTT • Preparation of requests for observing time (NTT, VLT, Keck) • Oct. 12-16 Second ESA conference on the scientific utilization of the GALILEO GNSS (Upd)
