  3. Oxford Dictionaries Online offers online access to up-to-date, accurate, and authoritative modern English dictionary and thesaurus entries, along with first-rate language reference resources. In addition to more than 350,000 modern English definitions and entries and 600,000 synonyms and antonyms,… … the site provides access to a vast bank of over 1.9 million real English example sentences, selected from the Oxford English Corpus. Oxford dictionaries and thesauruses are trusted the world over. This is because we invest in language research to ensure you have access to the latest new words and phrases and the most up-to-date definitions. It also features detailed practical writing and grammar advice for general users and an extensive section devoted to professional writers and editors.

There are lots of interesting features: spoken pronunciation with both British and American speakers, lists of synonyms and antonyms, the ability to search for phrases and idioms, a list of the top 1000 frequently used words, and the ability to see how a word behaves in a sentence using the extensive real examples.
