  2. Second Harvest Food Bank • One Saturday morning, I decided to volunteer for the Second Harvest Food Bank. For about 4 hours, Calvin, Wynn, and I helped clean out an entire room. Also, we removed the old shelves in the room and put brand new shelves in the room. We swept the floors clean and put everything back into the room. • After we had finished, I felt really good about myself, because I helped out another cause. I know in the future I will volunteer my services once again.

  3. American Heart Association • The American Heart Association's first logo was designed in 1924 by the wife of John Wyckoff, a member of the Board of Governors. Changing only slightly over the years, the logo was registered as the official organization symbol in 1979. • The mission of the American Heart Association is to reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke. • That single purpose drives all we do. The need for our work is beyond question.

  4. Car Wash • During school year, I attended 3 car washes, and as a group we almost raised 700 dollars. During the car wash, I enjoyed working together with my fellow classmates. Many people were involved and helped out a great deal. I am very, very fortunate to participate with people who really care.
