  6. Governance Structure • To maximise the involvement of key stakeholders, and in recognition of the diverse areas of responsibility which fall under the governance of the trust, three stakeholder groups have been formed for: • Leisure and Sport • Library and Information Services • Cultural Services • Each of these groups is chaired by the accountable Head of Service.

  7. Governance Structure All stakeholder meetings are recorded and these minutes are brought to the Board for information. There is a Business Sub-committee, which comprises the Office Bearers, Finance Director, Managing Director and Head of Support Services. The Management Team meet fortnightly, with an Extended Management Team meeting every two months.

  8. Governance Structure Overall strategic direction and control of the organisation is the responsibility of the Board of Trustees. This comprises thirteen members, four of whom are elected members from the City Council (one of whose number being the Chair of the organisation). The Finance Director and the Managing Director are appointed to these roles by the City Council. There are seven independent trustees (one of whom holds the position of Vice Chair). The Board has one trustee who leads on Health and Safety. It has formed a management group to support this area of its work.
