What is Key Club? • We are NOT a club consisting of high school students that make keys….. • So why call it Key Club? • Acronym for Kiwanis Educating Youth • Who is Kiwanis? • Parent club and who sponsor us, provide ideas, support, money, and model for us how to make an impact in the community and school • President of Kiwanis: Mrs. Carol Parker

What are we about? • The largest and oldest service program for high school students • Key Club has 260,000 members • There are more than 5,000 clubs • Key Club is represented in 30 countries! • Key Club is an international student-led organization which provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership. • Motto: Caring - Our Way of Life

  7. Registration • Register Online and have parent sign waiver • Deadline: 10/8 • Fee: $15 • Checks can be payable to Hilliard Davidson Key Club • Money should be delivered to Mrs. Moss’s mailbox

  9. Goal • We are allowed 150 people to be in Key Club • Official member = 25 hours • 150 x 25 = 3,750 hours of service!

  10. Some Upcoming Events • Spirit Wear Sales (Wed. Aug. 29th 2012) • Need 3 volunteers to help Mrs. Munson on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, from 6 pm to 8:45 pm. Please contact Matthias Heinz at mheinz3@gmail.com if interested • Club Fair (Fri. Sept. 9th 2012) • We’ll host a table so people can register and inform people of Key Club. If you were a member last year and can donate a lunch period to inform people about our club contact Matthias Heinz at mheinz3@gmail.com

  13. Edheads • Edheadsprovides free educational games that are fun and motivational. Annually, over 12 million teachers, parents and students rely on Edheads to explain hard-to-grasp concepts in an engaging way. • Relies on funding from organizations and donationsto develop the activities on this site • We’ll do a fundraiser of some sort • They need our help!
