  2. Shanghai Fashion Week The S/S 2020 Shanghai Fashion Week kicks off on Oct. 9. This time Shanghai Fashion Week and Xintiandi sign a new round of three-year strategic cooperation agreement, and make the Xintiandi Taiping lake a show field- "Fashion Water Cube". The theme of this Shanghai Fashion Week is "Perception of Multi-source". Perception means inspiration, and source means origins. This aims to encourage multi-dimensional sources of inspiration, explore and extend human limits and imagination space from different perspectives, and promote infinite creativity in the design. And it advocates individuals and groups, a single brand and the whole industrial chain to pay attention to sustainable fashion, respect the environment, and assume more social responsibilities.

  5. ROARINGWILD- Silent Spring ROARINGWILD, which has been on the stage of Shanghai Fashion Week for the second time, is a pioneer in the field of youth culture. ROARINGWILD is committed to spreading local youth culture, adheres to the life concept of street culture, and conveys the inclusiveness and respect for street culture to young people with clothes as the carrier. The S/S 2020 series uses street language to call on environmental protection and attention with the theme of "Silent Spring". Khaki and dark colors are main colors in the new series, while pistachio green and almost mauve are added in detail. The inspiration comes from insects, animals, and bright colors in the nature, creating a stunning visual impact. The functional workwear pockets highlight the outdoor style and urban sportif style.

  7. Fmacm- Society of Spectacle FMACM has been focused on youth culture and social life since its establishment six years ago. The new series of S/S 2020 is released at Shanghai Fashion Week. Under the theme of "Society of Spectacle", clothing of this season is rich in meaning. The structural ready-to-wear shows organization and unity. The full printing design makes a strong contrast. Complicated designs of order and disorder are interlaced. Classic brand elements of classic oil painting and 3D yarn crochet are added to show the observation about current life and exploration of the future with the clothing as a carrier.

  8. FYP- Urban Nomadism FYP collaborates with YOHO to present the new season with the theme of "Urban Nomadism". This is also the first time for FYP to participate in Shanghai Fashion Week. Designers combine the ginger of Demae Itcho and Chinese chopsticks, added with the stripe texture corduroy to form the complementary combination of "Chopsticks" and "Noodles". This funny collaboration retains the avant-garde sense of the brand, and ingeniously integrates Chinese traditional culture. It also adopts large-scale splicing with a strong contrast, different washes and dyeing crafts to interpret the urban nomadism.

  10. NPC- BOOM FOR LONELY NPC is founded for a decade, from 2009 to 2019. In the ten years, NPC is also committed to helping more designers and brands grow, with the ultimate goal of creating a true "Fashion Center". The S/S 2020 show is the first time for NPC to stage up the Shanghai Fashion Week. BOOM FOR LONELY is a series of illustrations cooperated with SIJIA(Wang Sijia), a free original writer, illustrator, graphic designer, expressing the observation about social phobia of modern youth. Such a heavy theme is expressed by NPC in graffiti and color stories, which is actually a form closer to the expression of young people. Fluorescent colors glimmer in the dark, seeming to attract attention with the warning clothing language. The decorative topstitch is used, added by slight street sense to make the new series funnier.

  11. Cabbeen- CABBIT PLAN As the closing show of the Shanghai Fashion Week, Cabbeen also participates in the Shanghai Fashion Week for the first time. Under the lead of Mr. Cabbean, the creator and art director, S/S 2020 Cabbean crosses the boundary of Chinese space culture for the first time, presenting a fashion show of "Walk on The Moon" beyond time and space. Different situations are set in virtual and sci-fi forms to imagine what happens on the far side of the moon, and explore the possibility of moon settlement in the future from the perspective of science fiction. The clothing is inspired by China's Eva spacesuit. The spacesuit components, such as two umbilical ropes and the joint structure connecting spacesuit together with the spacecraft, are decoded into the design language. Transparent piercing, tapes and velcro straps are added in the design. The ultimate design ingenuity reflects the spirit of space science, highlighting the theme- Chinese youth, create pride.

  13. Lifegoeson- It's a bad day Not a bad life Lifegoeson, founded in 2011, is a local clothing brand in Yangzhou, Jiangsu province. It collaborates with YOHO! to present the runway show, and expresses design concept from the perspective of "It's a bad day Not a bad life". The show is divided into three parts, from the dust to abjection and to complete, and styles change along with changes of emotions and music.

INXX- bINary As a regular visitor of Shanghai Fashion Week, INXX appears on the stage of the fashion week for the fourth time, and releases the new collection with INXXSTREET Lab- "bINary" SS2020 series. "bINary" is not only the theme, but also a brand-new design and development combining the high street of INXX and street elements of INXXSTREET Lab.

  15. Converse by Feng Chen Wang- Have A Try One year after the functionality trend, Converse and Feng Chen Wang Studio are back to Shanghai again. In the new series, the designer uses blue calico fabrics and Chinese bamboo woven elements. Working with the remaining local artisans, she incorporates these traditional fabrics, techniques, and weaving crafts into her designs, interpreting them in the language of modern fashion. The cutout green top is a metaphor for Chinese bamboo weaving and a tribute to traditional Chinese handicrafts. The designer is not afraid that the traditional handicraft elements will not be welcomed, and when they are made real, they already have their meaning.

Staffonly- TO REPLACE A MINUTE'S SILENCE WITH A MINUTES' APPLAUSE Founded in London in 2015, Staffonly is an independent menswear brand jointly founded by two domestic female designers, Zhou Shimo and Wen Ya, after they got master degree from Royal College of Art and London College of Fashion. With the theme of "TO REPLACE A MINUTE'S SILENCE WITH A MINUTE'S APPLAUSE", Staffonly S/S 2020 explores the modern image of men, the deep meaning hidden in life choices, and the multiple possibilities during growth. Idyllic check fabric, rich layers of star-shaped textures, and semicircle arc elements are combined with loose and comfortable cutting. Artful and free cutting and design language depicts the ingenious thoughts and imagination of men's life with a performance like art.

  18. Ximonlee- RECONSCIOUS Korean Chinese designer Ximonlee now lives in Berlin. Ximonlee S/S 2020 aims to explore restoration and poetic symbolism with the theme of RECONSCIOUS. The designer, Ximonlee, uses the personal journey as a metaphor to show the soft fragility and brutal power of spiritual growth. Apart from main suits and wool fabrics, clothes of this season use mainly mesh, reflective patent leather and sequins as decorations. The ingenious design adds a story sense and some restrictions to simple silhouette and color proportions.

In this series, designers add colorful recycling bucket elements into the picture to decorate the item, bringing a new form of funny environmental protection. The tripartite collaboration combines fashion with lifestyle and media power, hoping to convey environmental awareness to everyone in a subtle and interesting way. 2. NPC rooting in the street and CHANGHONG rooting in life work together to create the fashionable TV T-shirt, and the sweatshirt with satellite and rocket. And they release limited bags with the concept of "Beautiful Life All In". Combining with the theme of "Boom for Lonely", they integrate classic elements of CHANGHONG and MEILING in graffiti, and add some slogans like "CHANGHONG", "Classic Satellite Element of CHANGHONG", "Made in China" and "I am from China", showing the young and creative side of the classic domestic brand- CHANGHONG.

In the age when Chinese fashion and international brands are popular, people' need for daily commuting wear turns to the need of higher functionality. The functional style brought by the combination of technology and clothing is becoming popular. The inspiration of science and technology regenerates the concept of function, combines function and technology with sci-fi and future, and breaks the stereotype functional style.

  25. Fabric- Flexible Space In S/S 2020 Shanghai Fashion Week, there are many jacquard fabrics with a strong retro sense in menswear. The smooth chiffon is sheen, and when styled with workwear trousers, the look is surprising and warm.

  30. Shoes FENG CHEN WANG redesigns the classic shoes of CONVERSE. Inspirations are from rain boots and climbing boots. The leather is coated. And layered design is through white and deep grey shoes to be complementary with functional garments. S/S 2020 shoes of FMACM, are supported by @nike, and designed by FMACM and artist @top30_. The design adopts a transparent mirror material combined with a luminous light bar to make NIKE Swoosh an infinite extension of space, and to provide rhythmic variations of three frequencies. The design of the shoe head is combined with the art installation in the show field. The edge of laces is designed as the shape of hand and foot, which is unified from top to bottom. The century-old brand, Kappa, has joined hands with the fashion brand, NPC, to bring new collaborated shoes. The new series is based on Kappa k-1000 and Kolumn2.0, and inspirations integrate elements of "Boom for Lonely". The shoes adopt brand-new color proportions, and add round rubber in the heel and printing in the side of shoes head.
