  3. “all learning activities undertaken throughout life, with the aim of improving knowledge, skills and competence within a personal, civic, social and/or employment related perspective ”Besides at schools and workplace, learning takes place in the family that provide a meaningful context and framework for lifelong learning. • A ‘learning family’supports members to function better in the ever-changing world

  4. LEARNING IN THE FAMILY BENEFITS BOTH ADULTS AND CHILDREN

  5. The younger generation who are still at school may transfer their knowledge to their parents while older people are a valuable potential that needs to be mobilised and better valorized…

  6. The elders don’t use the internet… • the young generation use the Internet as a tool for learning and socialization

  7. INTERGENERATIONAL LEARNING (IL) IS AN IMPORTANT PART OF LIFELONG LEARNING, WHERE THE GENERATIONS WORK TOGETHER TO GAIN SKILLS, VALUES AND KNOWLEDGE.

  8. THE AIM OF THE GRUNDTVIG PROJECT COORDINATED BY BENEDETTA MIRACOLA AIMS AT IMPROVING THE LIFE QUALITY FOR FAMILIES AND PROMOTING A BETTER SOCIAL COHESION AND INTERGENERATIONAL SOLIDARITY

  9. So we are promoting Skills for Life to parents and grandparents, methods for developing the individual’s ability to search for information and to develop knowledge actively and independently. IN A LEARNING PROCESS, WE ARE PROVIDING GUIDANCE TO ACQUIRE BASIC SKILLS IN COMMUNICATION AND COOPERATION, ACTIVE CITIZENSHIP, COUNSELLING SKILLS AS BASIS FOR IMPROVING FAMILY HEALTHY LIFE.

  10. WE AIMED AT TRANSFORMING THE EDUCATIONAL RELATIONSHIP SUPPORTING AND MOTIVATING FAMILIES AND TRAINERS WITH PATHWAYS TO IMPROVE THEIR KNOWLEDGE BY MEANS OF FAMILY LEARNING: ADULTS ARE NOT ONLY CAREGIVERS, BUT ALSO EDUCATORS, WHOSE ACTIONS SIGNIFICANTLY IMPACT THE SCHOOLING SYSTEM AS WELL AS FUTURE LIFE, AND THE LIFELONG LEARNING DECISIONS OF GROWING CHILDREN BEING A MEANS FOR ACHIEVING SOCIO-CULTURAL INCLUSION AND PREVENTING STUDENTS FROM DROPPING OUT OF EDUCATION.

  11. THIS ISN’T A TEACHER OR EDUCATORS ROLE….

  12. THE CORRECT ROLE IS HELPING FAMILIES TO REFLECT ON WHAT THEY HAVE LEARNED AND ACHIEVED BY TAKING PART TO THE WORKSHOPS WE MANAGED TO HIGHLIGHT THE IMPORTANCE OF STIMULATING THEIR CHILDREN’S LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT, MOTIVATING PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS TO ENGAGE WITH FURTHER LEARNING ACTIVITIES

  13. THE SIMPLE IMPORTANT ROLE OF EACH PERSON…

  14. THE UNCORRECT KNOWLEDGE MAKE ERRORS…

  15. REMEMBER US… OUR HEAD ISN’T A CONTAINER…

  16. WHAT’S REALLY LIFELONG LEARNING MEANING

  17. School actions have tried to consolidate and coordinate student and learning supports working on school prevention and intervention programs, connecting families to schools and school activities with the use of community resources, fostering more meetings between parents and teachers and involving families in simple homework projects.

  18. We are strongly convinced that learning supports means trying to help everybody understand that we don't think about students’ social and emotional needs as something you take care of after you address their academic achievement.

  19. If we don't address their social and emotional needs as part of their whole school experience, we will never get the degree of academic achievement that our nation is seeking through school reform.
