  2. The priority of a repentant heart is not self esteem but to seek forgiveness and acceptance by God • The fruit of a repentant and forgiven heart is love.

  5. “Good News” in Greek is Euangelion. This word combines “angelos” referring to the one announcing news; a herald, and “eu” meaning joyful. Combined, the word means news that brings joy.

  6. SIN - hamartia in GREEK is, lit., "a missing of the mark,"

  7. Repentance can only happen when • We realize we are slaves to our sinful nature and to Satan. • We realize that we are all in need of deliverance.

  8. Application • Ask God to reveal to us the sins we need to repent from. • Ask God to reveal to us if we really love Him as we say we do by examining our works.
