  2. Attendance: • Students are expected to be in class everyday. • Make up work can be found in the bookshelf • Make up drawer • Returned Papers in the numbered drawer • Tests or Quizzes need to be made up during the next class period so be prepared!

  3. Assignments: • You must complete your assignments daily • Must Show Work • Taken up periodically • Graded for effort and/or correctness • Late Work • If graded for correctness, lose 10 points per day • If graded for effort – late work will NOT be accepted

  4. Substitute Teachers: • Be on your very best behavior • Follow instructions • Assignments will be graded

  5. Dismissal: • The bell doesn’t dismiss you, I do • Make sure you are seated at the end of class • No congregating at the door

  6. Tardies: • You must be in the room completely once the bell completes ringing • If you are late: • 1st Offense: Warning • 2nd Offense: Take home detention • 3rd Offense: Take home detention • 4th Offense: Take home detention • 5th and subsequent offenses: discipline referral

  7. Hall Passes: • You need to be in class for the entire period • You may redeem Rountree Bonus Bucks for passes – No Bucks? No Pass

  8. Food and Drinks: • Bottled (plastic) drinks are allowed • No glass bottles, cans or fast food cups • No food • Clean up after yourself

  9. How to be successful in class… • Be respectful • This classroom is a learning community for everyone • Listen to what everyone has to say • Ask questions when you don’t get it.

  10. How to be successful in class… • Give it all you have • Don’t give up • You are going to hit the wall - all mathematicians do • Persevere and work through it.

  13. Grading: • Tests and Major grades: 50 % • Quizzes and Mini assessments: 20% • Assignments: 15 % • Final Exam: 15 %

  14. Supplies: • Notebook • Paper • Graph Paper • Pencils or Pen • Colored Pencils • Calculator – Graphing

  15. Non-Negotiables • Show respect for everyone (peers and authority figures) • Be on time to every class • Use appropriate language • Contribute to instruction in a positive way • Stay awake • Keep your head up in every class • Follow the dress code

  17. Rountree Bonus Bucks • At the beginning of the semester you will receive 5 free Rountree Bonus Bucks • You may use the free bonus bucks as you wish either for a pass or to receive bonus points on an assignment or quiz

Bring in for TWO Bonus Bucks Earning Bonus BucksThese Items must be new and in the original packaging • Notebook Paper (large pack) • Graph paper (large pack) • Pencils (more than 12) • Construction Paper (large pack) • Glue Sticks (more than 4) • Tissue (name brand or large box) • Hand sanitizer (large pump bottle)
