  1. Eight Interesting Facts about Medical Marijuana For many people, the world of medical marijuana is a dark and mysterious place, full of myths, smoke screens and cloaks. Medical marijuana has been somewhat demonised over many years, often being labelled as a gateway drug and a favourite for losers and layabouts. However, over time, people are beginning to understand that medical marijuana, for some people has nothing to do with being a pot smoking hippy, and everything to do with helping to treat and prevent debilitating illness and creating a better quality of life for those who use it. In an attempt therefore to open up this shadowy world a bit more, here are some interesting facts about medical marijuana… 1.The Brain –The myth that marijuana kills brain cells is completely un-backed by medical evidence. There is no research to suggest that, and, if anything, it shows that the cannabinoids which are found in medical marijuana effect the brain to make it more creative and better control moods and memory. 2.Canada –Canada was the first country in the world in 2003 to offer medical marijuana to patients who were suffering chronic pain. 3.Coffee –In Las Vegas and Denver, the number of medical cannabis dispensaries outnumber Starbucks by 3:1. This means there are number of great dispensaries in Las Vegas which can offer you more than Starbucks does.

Due to the fact that most suicide is based around stress, and medical cannabis helps to reduce stress, it is believed that this is why there is the correlation between the use of medical cannabis and suicide rates. 8.Back in the Day – Between 1850 and 1942, marijuana was listed in the US as being useful for neuralgia, tetanus, typhus, cholera, rabies, dysentery, alcoholism, opiate addiction, anthrax, leprosy, incontinence, gout, convulsive disorders, tonsillitis, insanity, excessive menstrual bleeding, uterine bleeding, rheumatism, labour pains and nausea in

With time we are seeing attitudes changing towards medical marijuana and marijuana in general, but there are still many myths which need to be busted. The story of cannabis consumption is a long and interesting one, and the relatively recent changes in the law mean that once again people are being able to appreciate the benefits of medical marijuana for a better life.
