It is originated from the Chinese characters and it is called “Kanji”.

It evolves into its own language with its own characters and it is called “Hiragana".

With globalisation, it also has to incorporate foreign words into it and it is called “Katakana”.

Japanese Food

The most popular Japanese food are sushi, tempura, sashimi and miso soup.

It is very healthy because it is made of seafood and rice.

It has been a dormant volcano since 1707, that was the last time it erupted.

It is cherry blossom which is the national flower of Japan.

The Japanese celebrate each spring with “ohanami” which means flowers viewing parties with picnics, drinking and singing.

The Shinkansen

It is the Japanese bullet train.

It is one of the fastest trains in the world, traveling up to 300 kilometres per hour.

It is 333m tall, the world’s tallest self-supporting iron tower.

It was built in 1958 and since then it became famous. People around the world visited it everyday.
