  2. What do we do here? In horizons we mostly advanced worksheets and activities like these. • Hands-on Equations • Chess • Caeser’sEnglish

  3. Report Cards Every student in horizons has report cards. Everyone except new students. The teachers don’t do them, the students do their own. This shows how we are doing. We use these numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4. 1 means you don’t do well on this subject. 2 means you need a few improvements. 3 means you do very well on the subject. 4 means you have gone beyond average.

  4. Rules and Regulations • -Listen to the teacher when she is speaking • -Be mature when working in groups or with partners • -Focus on your work and don’t get distracted • -Raise your hand when you wish to speak • -Respect teachers and other students working around you

  5. Hands on equations • Hands on equations is basically challenging algebraic questions, but they can be easy to do. Look at this example. • X+X+2=10 X=4

  6. Caeser’sEnglish • Caeser’sEnglish teaches Spanish, Latin , and Greek roots and prefixes. • Aqua= water • Spec=see • Bi=2

  7. Chess • You may be thinking, chess is just a game. It keeps students focused and helps them concentrate on what is around them. We also have chess tournaments, which can be fun.
