  6. Treatment Planning with the client short-term achievable goals • A continuum of care involving other other professionals and self-help supports

  7. Involvement of Family • Involvement of other concerned persons • Social Support Structure

  8. Identifying High Risk Factors • Identifying Sources of Stress • Understanding Relapse Warning Signs

  9. Daily Practice of the 12 step programme • Regular attendance at G.A. meetings • Non-gambling Peers

  10. Adopt Healthy Activities / Interests • Effective Time Management : Balance • Daily Meditation. Slow down. Now. • Service – reaching out to others - gratitude

  12. Step 1 Goal : Awareness: recognition of loss of control. Powerlessness. Reduce Denial. Face Reality.

  13. Step 2 • Goal: Learn to ask for help. • Hope and Trust. • Open Mind. • No longer alone: belonging.

  14. Step 3 • Goal: Make decision daily, to ask for help. • Let go of self-will; of need to control • Avail of greater wisdom

  15. Step 4 • Goal: Honesty with self • Self Knowledge: who am I ? • My life story

  16. Step 5 • Goal: Own and acknowledge who I am. • Let go of negativity from the past. • Rid sense of isolation • Begin true relationship with self and others.

  17. Step 6 • Goal: Identify blocks to recovery • Character reconstruction • Increase assets; reduce liabilities

  18. Step 7 • Goal: Plan of action • Prioritise main shortcomings • Ask for help

  19. Step 8 • Goal: Restore Right Relationships • Prepare for change • List: people effected • damage done - physical, mental, emotional, spiritual,social, financial

  20. Step 9 • Goal: Begin re-build relationships • Make amends- not just apology • Act honestly – stop hiding • Discretion

  21. Step 10 • Goal: Regular maintenance • Everyday spot-check • Promptly deal with mistakes

  22. Step 11 • Goal: Stillness: slow down, focus, empty • Live in the now; mindfulness • Invoke wisdom and help from God of your understanding.
