  3. I give my experience at the Texas A&M Recreation Center five stars. I truly enjoyed all of the people I worked with and the customers I served. As the Specialty Program Coordinator, I was given a lot of responsibility from which I learned the skills required of a good manager. While on my internship, I feel like I improved as a fitness instructor, personal trainer, and manager.

  4. Words of Wisdom……. Always be on time Be willing to help out other areas even if it’s not in your job description Always greet everyone like they’re the president of the University Make every customer feel appreciated Even if your tired fake it Always work as efficiently as possible

  5. Internship Objectives Manage the specialty program. This includes hiring, paying, scheduling, and overseeing more than 30 specialty classes. Organize, promote and coach the boot camp program Organize, promote and coach the triathlon training program Teach group exercise classes. Assist the fitness director with the day to day activities in the Fitness Department

  6. Daily Activities Teach aerobics classes Answer e-mails and keep instructors in formed of upcoming events Assist Fitness Director in planning workshops Train new fitness instructors Organize rosters for specialty programs Keep payroll log

Boot Camp Project I organized, coordinates, and coached the boot camp training program 2 sessions each semester Each session lasts 4 weeks The class meets 3 days a week from 6:00am-7:00am 2 sections each session: Boot Camp Extreme and Boot Camp StartUp Costs: $65 for members and $85 for non-members 160 participants in session 1 120 participants in session 2
