  2. Site Contact Information • Site Supervisor: Kevin Hurley khurley@athletics.tamu.edu • Secretary: Sharon Lee 979-862-2635 slee@athletics.tamu.edu

  3. Site Ranking I gave this site 4 stars mainly because of the site supervisor. Kevin Hurley is a great boss and mentor. He hands you projects and lets you run with them, but is always available for guidance. The networking possibilities are endless, and it gives you a very broad view of the industry.

  4. Facilities

  5. Internship Objectives • Learn how to network through making contacts both within the department and outside; gain confidence and professionalism when speaking with contacts • Learn how to handle a project independently, when to ask for help (problem-solving), and how to manage time and resources while completing the project with efficiency • Gain a better understanding of facility management-what exactly does this entail and a broad view/understanding of the various aspects and how they run

  6. Daily Activities: • Daily activities vary greatly… Most days are spent working on projects. In the down time, it’s office work. Faxing, copying, and typing reports.

  7. Project Descriptions • Olsen Field Life Safety Evaluation: • Report on non-structural safety status of field and surrounding offices and locker rooms • 7 on 7 Program: • Selling ads and putting together the program for the 7on 7 State Championship Tournament, then helping to run the tournament • Emergency Evacuation Plans: • Putting together plans for all the athletic facilities on campus

  8. Hard at work…
