  2. Snakes! A lot of tales are there about the many varieties of snakes scattered throughout the world. This could be because snakes live a secret hidden life and people know very little about them. And another reason could be their peculiarities

  3. Here are some of the world’s most poisonous snakes !!

  4. King Cobra The King Cobra is probably the largest venomous snake in the world. It lives in jungles and plains in India, Southern China and South East Asia. This snake is aggressive and dangerous. Other snakes make up most of its diet.

  5. Russell Viper The Russell's viper is one of the most dangerous snakes in all of Asia, accounting for thousands of deaths each year. Once bitten, people experience a wide variety of symptoms including pain, swelling, vomiting, dizziness, blood incoagulability and kidney failure

  6. Common Krait The Common Krait inhabits in fields, low scrub jungles and is common in the vicinity of human habitation. It is found at night time only. The Common Krait mainly feeds on snakes including other kraits. Occasionally frogs, lizards, and small mammals are also taken.

  7. Sawscaled viper Saw scaled viper is a venomous viper species found in parts of the Middle East and Central Asia, and especially the Indian subcontinent. It is the smallest of the Big Four dangerous snakes of India

  8. Anaconda Awkward on land but agile in water, the anaconda lives in the swamps and tropical rain forests of South America. This green anaconda is the largest of several varieties; in fact, it is the largest snake in the world by weight, capable of reaching 550 pounds (250 kg) and measuring 12 inches (30 cm) in diameter.

  9. Rattlesnake Rattlesnakes are a group of venomous snakes belonging to the family of pit vipers. They are named for the rattle located at the end of their tails. They consume rats, mice and small birds.

  10. Flying snake They are found in India and the African Archipelago. Flying snakes are technically better gliders than their more popular mammalian equivalents, the flying squirrels. They eat rodents, lizards and frogs.

  11. Desert Death Adder Often colored in rusts and yellows to match its sand and rock surroundings, the desert death adder of western Australia lures prey by wiggling its thin black tail tip. When a lizard approaches, the snake strikes, delivering powerful venom.

  12. Tree python A green tree python is native to the rain forests of New Guinea and North Eastern Australia. It can roll up into an almost perfect ball and so has earned the name of ball python.

  13. Black Mamba Named for the color of the inside of its mouth, the black mamba strikes repeatedly with venomous fangs. Widely considered the world’s deadliest snake, it continues to take human life in its native habitats in southern and eastern Africa.

  14. Mozambique Spitting Cobra The Mozambique spitting cobra can eject venom up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) away. It spits from any position, raised or on the ground, and often goes for the eyes. Untreated, its venom can cause blindness.

  15. True, snakes are peculiar creatures. They have no legs, no fur, no feather,etc. and some are venomous. But, there is no doubt , they are nature's most beautiful and mysterious reptiles.
