  2. We All Love Free! • But, sometimes we get what we pay for…. • We’ll talk about digital marketing tools that we use (and some that we just know about!) • We’ll walk you through how to use some (but some would require a boot camp themselves) • Use what makes sense for you!

  3. -It's changing the way we do business -Match your social medial channels to you target market. Go where your people are -The purpose isn't to sell but to open up conversations -What are the top 5 things your customers always ask you? What are the top 5 they SHOULD ask you. Great conversation starters The Greatest Free Tool I Could Suggest For Your Business Is....Social Media!

  4. Social Media Channels- The Biggies • Facebook- the 900lb gorilla, but it's where people are! • Twitter-get's searched as much as some search engines. Make #s your friend! #nausea • LinkedIn-not just for job seekers. It's a platform to show you know your stuff • Pinterest-the hottest visual channel of them all • Google+-great for SEO

With All Social Media Channels • Make sure your branding is consistent • Fully fill out your profiles • Participate! • Think of your social media channels like an extension of your sales team- execept it's less about selling and more about simply talking to your target market. • Explore ways to talk about what they want to hear

  6. Social Media tools • You could go to each social media channel, log in and post, or.... • Hootsuite • Buffer • Netvibes • Cyfe • Connect your blog to your social media channels (especially with Wordpress) with a plug in or IFTTT

  7. Image Grabbing Tools • What do you use when you see something cool and you want to just grab part of it? • Lightshot- my personal favorite- allows you to just grab and go • No tool-use “Printscreen”, save the image as a jpg file and open it in an image management tool such as...

  8. Image Management Tools • Great for web design, creating images to post to social media • Picmonkey.com- my favorite! • GIMP- need to download • Pixlr.com- reminds me of Fireworks • Sumopaint.com • Irfanview.com- need to download it but it’s been around since the invention of fire

  10. SEO Tools • There is no one single tool you can use to help you shoot to the top of the search engine rankings. That being said, there are some that will help you figure out some pieces of the puzzle • Google Keyword Planner- (don’t go into the light!) • Keyword Eye Basic

  11. More SEO Tools • Google.com/trends-helps with keywords • Google Alert-who’s talking about me? • Google Analytics-how’s my site doing? • SEO Quake- plug in to spy on your competition • Copyscape.com- helps you check for duplicate content

Image Optimization Trick (OK, It's Not A Tool, But There's One Up Front!) • Google doesn't see images- only text • Site: yourdomainname.com • When you're loading images onto your blog posts, it’s good to rename your posts with a keyword and you can embed keywords into your images. • Helps with SEO • Right click on image name, click on Properties, go to details, have at it!

  14. Video Tool • Far and away, my favorite is: • Animoto • Let's you take 7 to a billion images and turn them into a video then upload it to Youtube • Insert demonstration here...

  15. Email Marketing Tools • Constant Contact • Mailchimp (my favorite) • It's intuitive and well, there's a friendly monkey! Who doesn't LOVE a monkey? • Both give you great analytics on open rates, click through rates, etc.

  16. Cool Tool • Evernote • Web and phone based • Just shorta million uses for Evernote • John uses it as a lead tracking tool • I use it to dictate ideas for various insane plans to take over the world • Download it and discover what you might use it for
