Contents • This presentation covers enhancements to the Message Center Release v6.11, including: • Modifications when viewing messages, images and attachments • Enhanced delivery options • Hidden search bar • Column sorting by Block Reason column • Showing/Hiding Recipients • New My Settings link • Enhancements to Junk Filter settings • Updated page controls • Changes to message styles

Important Note • While this presentation covers enhancements to the Message Center v6.11, including enhancements to the Settings area, it is important to understand that all personally defined settings from the previous version of Message Center will remain intact in the new version, including: • Junk Settings • Virus Settings • Personal Settings

  4. Viewing Messages, Images and Attachments • Using the Administration console, administrators can make attachments active enabling users to view the attachment…

  5. Viewing Messages, Images and Attachments • Using the Administration console, administrators can make attachments active enabling users to view the attachment…or make the attachment inactive, thereby removing the ability to view it.

  6. Viewing Messages, Images and Attachments • A warning message displays if (a) administrators have enabled users to view images in spam and (b) images exist in the message. Clicking Show Images displays the image.

  7. Delivery Options • The Deliver Selected button has been replaced by a link. To deliver several messages to your inbox, select the messages and click the Deliver Selected link. Optionally, you can click the Deliver button to send individual messages. • The Deliver Selected button has been replaced by a link.   8. Search Bar • The Search Bar is now hidden by default. Clicking the magnifying icon or Search link displays the Search Bar.

  9. Column Sorting by Block Reason • Junk Filters • Blocked Sender • When sorting by Block Reason, the sort order is as follows: • Attachment • Content

  10. Show/Hide Recipients • To view recipients of the quarantined messages, click the Show Recipients link now located in the From column heading.   11. Navigation Links • The Approved Senders link has been removed from the navigational links area. Users can access the approved and blocked senders area, as well as other settings, using the My Settings link.

  12. My Settings • The My Settings pages have been given a fresh look with the addition of rounded boxes and a new color scheme.

  14. Junk Filters Settings • The Manage Junk Filters link displays the Junk Email Blocking page. The Overall Junk Filter is now defined by selecting the appropriate value from a drop-down menu. • The Manage Junk Filters link displays the Junk Email Blocking page.

  15. Junk Filters Settings • Clicking Show Category Filters now includes radio buttons for more easily defining individual filter settings.

Junk Filters Settings • The text above the radio buttons has been modified informing users that increasing the filter values multiply the junk level filter thereby increasing the number of messages identified as junk. Note: Upgrading from an earlier version of the Message Center will not modify previously defined settings.

  17. Activated / Deactivated • From the My Settings page, users can tell at a glance whether their Junk Filters are activated or deactivated.   19. Virus Settings • The Virus Settings area also displays whether the virus blocking is activated or deactivated.

  21. Page Controls • Page controls, which previously displayed as first | previous | next | last, have been replaced by forward and backward navigation arrows.

  22. Message Style Change • The overall look of the messages have changed, including: • Informational Messages • Confirmation Messages • Warning Messages

  23. Important Reminder • As mentioned earlier, while the Message Center has changed, all personally settings defined in the previous version will remain intact in the new version, including: • Junk Settings • Virus Settings • Personal Settings
