  8. Dedicated to serve the young people in Grey, Bruce, North Huron and North Wellington OUR MISSION To promote mental and emotional wellness in youth aged 13-19 and provide an online resource where they can access counselling in a safe, secure and confidential manner.

  9. Mental health is an essential part of your 0verall health. Mental health is more than just the absence of mental illness. It’s a state of well-being. Did you know that up to 70% of young adults living with mental health problems report that the symptoms started in childhood?

  14. Suicide is about escape Suicide is the 2nd highest cause of death among young people 15-24 after motor vehicle accidents Suicide is about escape Communication is the key About Suicide

  17. Between 9,000 and 10,000 calls are made to the Kids Help Phone from Grey Bruce in a year CRISIS:

Online counselling Teen will register and receive an email response: WELCOME TO WES FOR YOUTH ONLINE Use of PRIVATE CONVERSATION THROUGH SECURED EMAIL between teen and counsellor Establish a relationship with counsellor: HI, MY NAME IS LESLEY AND I WILL BE YOUR COUNSELLOR Teen may write whatever they want…..THREE PAGES LATER….

Family and friends are great, but sometimes a professional counsellor is needed and can make a difference Online counselling can provide: • PRIVATE • CONFIDENTIAL • As of June 6th, 2013 we have 90 young people using the online counselling from all over Grey, Bruce, North Huron and North Wellington Crisis and Counselling
