  2. Three things to consider This is PERSONAL, you are writing about your perspective of the world. (synthesis) Show vs. Tell Figurative Language

  3. Personal and “true” Cisneros Steinbeck • Use vivid memories, then “prune” them into something you wish to share…a feeling, a person, a realization…. • Use vivid description first of a place, then let people interact within this place.

  4. For Example: Cisneros Steinbeck Square glasses, jet-black mustache, and a face like a pineapple. That’s my dad. The reason why I’m not forced to buy video games with my own money. The reason why I have unlimited access to TV. We introduce applications on our phones. We trust our God, Google, more than humans. Other father-daughter relationships are connected by cables. We are wireless. The museum in San Francisco is a story, a history, a memory. It is no more than a plain building with white walls and brown trim but it has a certain quality to it. The air is full of laughing children and moms eager to lead their children and the frequent sounds of exclaiming tour guides. If you walked in, you are likely to hear joyous banter from a very cheerful docent named Millywho takes her hat and scratches the top of her head….
