ORIGINAL 8 September 2011 Dear Air Defender: The U.S. Army Air Defense Artillery School, Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and the Director of HQDA G-3/5/7 Air and Missile Defense Task Force is proud to represent your branch “Air Defense Artillery” by sponsoring the 16th Annual Air Defense Artillery Roundup in the Military District of Washington on Saturday, 8 October 2011. This is always an exciting time in the area and we want all Air Defenders, families and friends to come out and participate. The event will capitalize on the many Air Defenders in town for the Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA) Convention and the Army 10 Miler. The Roundup is always a great opportunity to see old friends and make new ones. The location for the Air Defense Artillery Roundup is the Fort Belvoir Officers’ Club on Fort Belvoir, Virginia (strip map enclosed) from 1100-1330 hours. Dress is business casual and our buffet menu will include teriyaki chicken or vegetable lasagna, fresh vegetable medley and assorted cakes. As always there will be plenty of prizes for raffle. The price is $25.00 per person and an order form is enclosed. Please return it with your payment by 26 September 2011. It is important that we receive your payment prior to the event so that we may provide an accurate headcount to the restaurant. The cost of the ticket includes your meal and one raffle ticket. Directions to Fort Belvoir O’Club Directions from I 95 N/S. Take Exit 166a (7100 East – Fairfax County Parkway). Take the Fairfax County Parkway to its end. Left turn onto U.S. Route 1 (Richmond Highway). At the first light, take a right to the entrance for Tulley Gate (Pohick Road) on to Fort Belvoir. Continue on Pohick Road make a right onto Gunston Road. Make a left onto 21st Street and another right onto Belvoir Drive. Take a left onto Woodlawn Drive. The Fort Belvoir O’Club is straight ahead at Bldg 20, 5500 Schulz Circle. Signs to O’Club are also posted. Directions from Ronald Reagan National Airport. At the Airport exit, follow signs to I-395 South. Continue to I-95 South take Exit 166a, from this point follow the same directions as above. Enclosure 2
