  1. Aprilia History Aprilia is an Italian motorcycle maker founded by Alberto Beggio in Noale, Italy, shortly after World War II. The company began as a bicycle maker and went on to produce scooters and small-capacity motorcycles. Large sports bikes such as the 1,000 cc V-twin RSV Mille and the V4 RSV4 have been manufactured by Aprilia more recently.

  2. After World War II, Aprilia was founded by Cavaliere Alberto Beggio as a factory for the manufacture of bicycles in Noale, Italy, in the province of Venice. In 1968, Alberto's uncle, IvanoBeggio, took over the company's helm and designed a 50 cc 'motorcycle' with a dozen or so collaborators.

  3. The first Aprilia mopeds in development were called Colibrì, Daniela and Packi. Aprilia subsequently developed a motocross bike named the Scarabeo in 1970. The Scarabeo, manufactured until the end of the 1970s, came in 50 and 125 cc models.
