MDT library for commissioning MDT code for satisfying requests of commissioning at Pit: • manage a variable nr. and type of chambers instead of a pre-fixed one • choose how to retrieve MDTs parameters and mapping ---> new “MapInterface” routine can access DB (to be implemented) and/ora text file (DONE!) • once read, information is used in the same way independently of source ---> map format modifications only require changes in “MapInterface” Federico Zema

  4. First tests for commissioning • reading data file from commissioning with filesampler • decoding and histogram production • noise frequency saved to text file • working on pulser data Federico Zema

  5. Mapping file and DataBase Mapping file (chamber geometrical parameters and electronic channel connections): • A text file with mapping for all the chambers has been produced (thanks to P. Fleischmann ) • still to be verified special chambers (e.g. BEE) • easy updating of the map file Data Base • on going discussion for DB format and content Federico Zema

Next future Since next week (12th of September) • Understanding of computational power: number of events, trigger rate, total time, sampling efficiency • Configuration of daq for GNAM • Installation of presenter (OHP): local installation for tdaq-01-02-00 • On-line tests at commissioning • Analysis of pulser data Federico Zema

  7. Open issues • DB Interface • infrastructure is ready, coding to be implemented once the DB structure is defined • cross check with certification information • Error handling • On going dicussion on automatic check and alarm generation. Feedback welcome... Federico Zema
