BFP Activity – Summer 2009 2/6: Presentation for the Sports and Peace Congress at University of Haifa. 2/6: Student demonstration at ORT Jerusalem event. 5-7/6: Danny presented BFP at the Movements for Social Change Congress in Geneva. 23/6: BFP presentation at Beit Berl for the UNESCO Conference. 13-27/7: Presentation of BFP at the 18th Maccabiah Games. 20-27/7: Presentation to the International SKIF Championship in Athens. July & August: 6 BFP students went to US Summer Camps.

  4. Madrichim Seminars • October 1-2, 2009: Hof HaYarok, Netanya • January 21-22, 2010 Moshav Nordiya • Final Seminar will be: April 22-23, 2010 Moshav Nordiya

Sempais Seminars • December 3-4, 2009 Hof HaYarok, Netanya • March 25-26, 2010 Kfar HaYarok, Ramat HaSharon • Planned for June 2010 The seminars create a group dynamic among these 13-16 year old teen leaders from BFP dojos around Israel. They train together and also plan the National BFP Event.

  6. New BFP Dojos 2009-2010 Dojos prepared to open Spring 2010: • Carmiel # 2 • Ofakim #2 • Or Akiva New dojos – Opened Fall 2009: - Carmiel: November 1st - Kiryat Gat: November 5th - Jiss’r Azarka: December 6th - Ofakim: December 24 • Planned dojos – Fall 2010: • Eilabun • Beersheva

  8. Abu Kuidar demonstration for One-to-One Delegation at Timna Park: November 13, 2009 A group of 12 Bedouin children from Abu Kuidar joined a One-to-One Delegation from the UK during a visit at Timna Park. The 9-13 year old students demonstrated karate techniques for their visitors.

  9. Chanukah Party in Kiryat GatDecember 10th, 2009 The 9-12 year old martial artists from BFP’s new dojo in Kiryat Gat showed their new skills, with direction from instructor Emanuel, at a festive Chanukah party for family and friends. The dojo is sponsored by Sugat.

El HaLev visit to Abu Kuidar dojoDecember 15, 2009 15 female martial arts instructors from abroad and Israeli members of El HaLev joined students from BFP’s Abu Kuidar dojo for a joint presentation session. An article was published in the Jerusalem Post about this event; several Budokan students also took part. Abu Kuidar is sponsored by Sugat and One-to-One.

  11. Holiday Party at Kfar YasifDecember 22, 2009 Chanukah, Christmas and Idel Adcha were celebrated at Kfar Yasif with a demonstration, presentation of new belts and speeches. The 200 attendees included parents, friends, the local mayor and the Consuls from Australia, Japan, and Ghana.

  12. First official meeting of Twin-dojos: Boiene-Najedat and Mizpe Netufa February 10th, 2010

  13. Joint meeting between Twin-Dojos: Carmiel and Kfar YasifMarch 5, 2010 Members of the Carmiel group visited Kfar Yasif. The day included a visit to the dojo, tour of the village and a shared meal.
