Policy Subgroup • Next steps: ICD-10-CM proposed new diagnoses codes and revisions • Thank you to all who submitted comments on the proposed new diagnoses codes discussed at the March 5-6, 2019 ICD-10 Coordination and Maintenance Committee meetings. • We will keep you updated. Coding Subgroup • Forthcoming Resource: • Food insecurity billing and claims opportunities resource guide • Gravity Project • Anyone with interest in SDH coding is welcome to participate in the Gravity Project, a national collaborative effort (partially led by SIREN) to help standardize SDH coding (using ICD codes and also CPT, LOINC and SNOMED). Research Subgroup • New concept: • HVS NCoP research incubator • New research is needed to better understand how identifying and addressing patients’ food insecurity can potentially improve health outcomes at the individual and population levels • Collaborative research efforts take time, require trust building, and deep partnerships • The HVS NCoP Policy Subgroup can serve as a platform for curated resources, advice, and a place for members to incubate new research and partnerships together • Other subgroup-related announcements or discussion items?
