What is naviance? • Naviance is your way to communicate your strengths, career choices, colleges and careers you will pursue. • Naviance Allows you to communicate with your counselors, teachers, College & career Readiness Advisor, colleges, scholarships, and even parents about your future plans • Fieldtrips, college presentations, and scholarships will all be communicated about via Naviance

  3. Logging Into Naviance • www.connection.naviance.com/leehs • Use Google Chrome or Fire Fox NOTInternet Explorer • Log in using the same Log in used for Skyward • Set as your Favorite or Bookmark

  4. Log-in To Naviance! Use the same log-in used for Skyward

  5. Verify Naviance Email– Click on Manage my Account

  6. Verify Naviance Email – Click on Manage my Profile

  7. Verify Naviance Email – Click on the yellow pencil Click on the yellow pencil. Enter your most used email twice and click update.

  8. Free SAT Prep & Signing up for ACT & SAT Click on link to KHAN Academy FREE On-line SAT & PSAT Prep Click on SAT or ACT link to get to website and register to take the test

  9. Sign up for Remindto stay in the College & career Readiness Know Go to the text message function in your phone Compose a text message. Follow these instructions: • 12th graders - Text @mygrad2016 to (512) 961-3976

  10. Resume Builder Click on “About Me tab” then click on “Resume” under “Interesting things about me” Click on “Objective” and follow the instructions under “Tips” to your right.

  11. Register for College Presentations Click on the “Colleges” tab to sign up to attend college presentations no later than 24 hours in advance Click on “Viewing all upcoming college visits”

  12. Register for College Presentations Click on the “sign-up” tab to sign up to attend college presentations no later than 24 hours in advance Click on “sign me up” and you are on the list!

  13. Request Transcripts for College Applications Click on “Colleges” tab and “Colleges I ‘m applying to”. Click on “ Add to the list”.

  14. Request Transcripts for College Applications Click on “Add to this list”. Click “request transcript”, select the state your colleges is in and click “go”, click on the college you are applying to, and then click “Add colleges”

  15. Request Transcripts for Academic & Athletics Scholarships Click on “Colleges” tab and “Transcripts”. Click on “Request transcripts for scholarships or athletics”. Fill in all requested info. and scrol l down and click “ Add transcript request”.

  16. Request Letters of Rec. Click “request transcript”, select the state your colleges is in and click “go”, click on the college you are applying to, and then click “Add colleges” Click on “Add/cancel request” for Teacher as well as Counselor Letters of Rec. Each name is on the list. Teachers have 21 days to turn around letters.

  18. Complete Profile for Apply Texas Click on “ApplyTexas.org” link. Click “Create your own account”. Fill in the blanks and you have begun your college application process.

  19. How to find out which college you should attend Click on “About me” and then click on “Strengths Explorer”. Click on “See related Career Pathways”.

  20. 2. Click on “Related Majors” 3. Click on the college major that interests you the most. 1. Click on the career you are most interested in. 4. Click on the college you are most interested in and then the website for the college.

  21. Need Scholarship $$ for college? Apply for Scholarships via Naviance! • Click on Scholarship Match for the list of local scholarships and/or scholarships Elkins students have historically received at a higher rate • Click on National Scholarship Search and answer a brief survey to get a list of scholarships that you qualify for according to your individual characteristics.
