  1. As Media Main Task Shadows

  2. What is it? This is a low-budget European horror movie. The nationality will be British but the camera shots will be reflective of the European film industry, such as taken. The shots in this film are long and selected very carefully. When used in horror, this would help build up the tension.

  3. Target Audience • 17+ interests mainly in horror and easily scared. • A main British speaking audience

  4. Purpose of the Title sequence • This horror title sequence is meant to set of an atmospheric feeling of claustrophobia. The Time lapse at the start is meant to create a feeling that this place is untouched by time, suggesting a backstory. The location is at college and the light is going to be practically off, creating a sense of a claustrophobic environment and also a intimidating darkness reinforcing this claustrophobic atmosphere..

  5. Sound • Non-diegetic: Atmospheric build up quiet not to much sound, distance is the key. Nothing at all close to the old Texas chainsaw music, that effect of running and tension. • Diegetic: Breathing, Footsteps, clicking, pen writing on board and communication between the two actors.

  6. What I will need • Final cut pro • Adobe after effects • Lab coats(forensic science for that) • Led small lights to put on the wall • Writing board • Spotlights • And two unknown actors • Camera • Lots of black paper

  7. Desirable Responses from audience • Would like to know if they think it’s a horror movie or not. • How the Title sequence made them feel. Obviously I would want them to feel almost claustrophobic. • How it compares to Horror movies today • If they would watch it all the way through.
