  3. PROPOSAL • Citywide strategic planning and commissioning – more explicit focus on areas • Supporting Area Infrastructure • Area Executives • Relationship Management & Influencing • Multi-agency engagement model • Reconfiguring services – CYPS and opportunities to collaborate with partners

FEEDBACK TO DATE • Strong support for continued partnership working – both strategic and operational – to add value to outcomes for vulnerable families • Broad understanding of the rationale and context • Need for clarity about relationships between partnerships/ networks – reality of new environment • Clear accountability – with families and for Area Executives taking action • Identification of collaboration opportunities

NEXT STEPS • Children’s Trust Board sign-off (July); establish Area Executives • Incorporate ‘area working’ into overall organisational design of CYPS through the ‘Making the Changes’ programme • Identifying opportunities for collaboration/ integration in remodelling and commissioning services • Developing core inter-agency engagement pathways through levels 2, 3 and 4 of the triangle of need: • Secure inter-agency sign-up across all partners • Reduce duplication and total family focused • Clearer offer and processes – communicated and understood • Improve allocation of resources to families – right services, right time
