  2. Definition • Making connections is making connections between different things I read. • Text to Text • Text to self • Text to world

  3. Text to Text Text to Text is when a reader makes a connection to another text. Example: Leaping Beauty is a Fairy Tale that is similar to sleeping beauty so we made a connection to the real book.

  4. Text to Self Text to Self is when you make a connection that is related to your self from the book that you are reading or what you have read. Example: Disease Detectives There was picture of a man taking Samples he Had suit on that looked like and astronaut

  5. Text to World Text to world is when you read something in a book that connects to the real world Example :The book earth alert connects to the world by telling you about natural disaster s and recently there was natural disaster in New South Wales that was a tornado and in the book it talks about it.

  6. Activity Pick a book Read it then Make a connection about what read. Remember to make a connection to text self and world.
