  7. Clickto move on Hera (hee-ruh) • Goddess of marriage • Married to Zeus • Queen of the Gods • She hated Heracles, when he was a baby she sent snakes to his crib to kill him.

  8. Clickto move on Athena (a-thee-nuh) • Goddess of wisdom, war, creativity and crafts. • She used the Gorgon’s head (Medusa) to decorate her shield. • Zeus gave birth to Athena himself.

  9. Clickto move on Apollo (uh-pol-oh) • Was the the god of light, music and healing. • He meddled in human affairs • He played the lyre • He turned King Midas’s ears into those of an ass.

  10. Clickto move on Demeter (dee-mee-tur) • Was the goddess of agriculture and earth. • She was the sister of Zeus and the mother of Persephone. • Persephone was snatched by Hades, King of the dead. • Hades surrendered Persephone for a few months every year.
