  2. Past simple(be) Was,were We use the past simple to describe events that took place in the past. Example: I was at school last month . She playedfootball in the garden three hours ago. He tried to help me yesterday.

  4. Sentence structure Subject was/were the rest of the sentence. Example: The man was happy last week. The boy was sad last day . We use the (be) in the past simple to describe events that took place in the past without an object. Positive sentence I was tired two minutes ago. Negative sentence I wasn’t happy two minutes ago. Yes/No Was I happy two minutes ago?

Examples : dance danced Chase chased 2)If the verb ends with c,v,c we double the last letter and add (ed). Example : stop stopped 3)If the verbs ends with a consonant we delete and add (ied). Example : cry cried Study studied
