  2. Motivation • Request from THara-san • To review what’s done, what needs to be done • Let us rethink our strategy • Short term (study w/ LoI design) • Long term (towards SuperB recon. & tracking) • To get experts’ opinions, suggestions, help, etc…

  3. SVD versions Finish SVD5 ASAP, in svn! Clean up versions? don’t want too many versions… DatSVD4_TrueHit, DatSVD5_TrueHit???

  5. SVD5cluster association eff. True hits Associated hits • 2GeV Single muon • 2D hits in G4, truehit location smeared by incident angle dependent sigma (also read by TRAK), cluster width=0 Eff. FWD slanted DSSDs DSSD no.

What needs to be doneLoI • TRAK • Fix hit association problem ASAP, commit in svn • Compare w/ Kawasaki-san’s TRAKERR study (Request to Kawasaki-san, PLS produce resolutions w/ LoI geom. also.) • Geom. • Detailed config. e.g., DSSDs/ladder • Clustering • G4superb-svd • datsvd_truehit: almost done, implement from b20071227 • datsvd_hit: rla? Amp? 512 channels/sensor? Hybrid? • dE/dx & hit postion / step produced • Recsvd • Not touched at all yet, should be included in TRAK? • Backgrounds For 1st report of LoI study, ‘realistic’ cluster and backgrounds may not be worth the effort… Need longer term outlook

Clustering/Tracking • Goal – 2 years • Structure? g4-trak-cluster • Completely new tracking code? • Clustering included in tracking? • Want – flexibility • Geom. change should be easily modified • TRAK should read geom. info. from G4 • How? As C++ objects? Panther? XML? • What info? • People • Need experts’ opinions/help (Thara-san, Karim-san, Ozaki-san) • New people… • Others?
