  3. COGNOS REPORTS • Two Areas: • Verify – Immediate; Data Currently in PIMS • Production – Wait for Refresh at 5:00 a.m. & 12:00 Noon; Possible Errors; Comparisons; Look Fors

  4. New Fields STUDENT TEMPLATE • Field 65 – Graduation Status Code “S” • Special Ed. Student who Graduated and exited Special Ed. after 6/30 and must be reported in the next year’s student template as exited • Field 167 – Special Education Referral Code “Y” or “N” • If “Y”, a School Enrollment Record is not needed • PDE Guidance: • You are a SD or CS • You are only submitting these students for special education reporting purposes • You are NOT the educating LEA • If you have Special Ed students who are residents of your district, and are out-placed, you should report a Y in Field 167. These are students who would be uploaded for the December 1 Special Ed collection only • A student with Y in field 167 should NOT have a School Enrollment record

New Fields STUDENT CALENDAR FACT TEMPLATE • Field 15 – Special Education Indicator • Used to determine Special Education ADMs • Valid Values “Y”, “E”, “N” • A student with an IEP for partial school year will have multiple Calendar Fact records • Ex: Regular Ed. at start of year; Identified and IEP written in January. Curriculum change to generate two Student Calendar Fact records…one with “N” in Field 15 (BOY – Jan.) and one with “Y” in Field 15 (Jan. – EOY) • Ex: Special Ed. at start of year; Exited to Regular Ed. in January. Curriculum change to generate two Student Calendar Fact records…one with “Y” in Field 15 and one with “E” in Field 15 • Curriculum changes are not reported in School Enrollment Template – only grade level or school changes within LEA
