  2. Introduction “I Have a Dream” is what the person I am talking about said. Martin was a person who didn’t like segregation. He was thoughtful, helpful, trustful, and truthful man.   3. Martin’s Life Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. One day Martin and his dad went into a store to get Martin some shoes , but when they went in they had to go to the back because it was an all white store. So Martin and his dad left. Martin has five family members. His mom, his dad, a sister, a brother, and himself. Martin was in the choir at Ebenezer Baptist Church. His dad was a minister at that church. Now you will learn about Martin and African American conflicts and struggles and education and motivation.

  4. African American Struggles, Conflicts, Education, and Motivation Martin had a friend that was white and they played all the time until they started to go to school. The boy’s dad said that they could not play together anymore. Martin went to his room and started crying. Most African Americans were not aloud to sit in the front of the bus. They always had to sit in the back. Martin had skipped two grades. So at the age of 15 he graduated from high school. Then he attended Morehouse College. Mahatma Gandhi was a spiritual leader of India. That was one of the people who Martin looked up to. Next you will learn about his major contributions.

  5. Major Contributions Martin was very famous for his speeches. His speeches talked about why blacks should not be treated differently than whites. Blacks and whites should have equal rights. Their should not be all white stores. Blacks should be able to go into any store without being kicked out. Martin wanted peace in the South.   6. Interesting Facts Martin had a wife named Coretta. Martin was arrested because the police said he was speeding but he wasn’t. In 1964 Martin won the Nobel Peace Prize. Martin skipped two grades. Martin died on April 4,1968. I hope you enjoyed this production.
