  1. Martin Luther King, Jr. Realizing his legacy through youth action Monday, January 17, 2011 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM Somerville High School

  2. Martin Luther King’s Dream I feel that we can keep King’s dream going, by remembering that the big words are peace, love and freedom… We can be polite, share, care for everyone and everything, follow the rules, help out, not bully and to be kind to all. Written by: Alena Grade 2 Healey School

  3. The Dream AliveAidan – Grade 2 – Healey School We should never judge people by the outside, but instead by how they are on the inside and how they feel. Look for…the love they have…To keep the dream running people of all colors and ages should join their hands in friendship…The dream is always going to be inside our hearts.

  4. Martin Luther King, Jr. Isaac – Grade 2 – Healey School Max – Grade 2 – Healey School Martin Luther King, Jr. grew up not being able to play with his friends who were white. Martin wanted to change this for all of us….Now all people can go to the same places or at least they are allowed to go. We need to continue his hard work by always respecting and welcoming others. Everything can change with a dream. • We need to do no harm to anyone. We should not bully other people or judge them. We shouldn’t hurt or fight. We should be nice to others and treat them respectfully. We need to be careful of how others feel. We should show love to all people.

  5. Realizing King’s Dream Through Youth ActionsMaria – Grade 4 (excerpts) …Even today there are people that still treat others like we treated people 56 years ago……Everyone should be treated with Respect, Dignity and with Compassion. With so many things to discourage him, Martin Luther King didn’t give up…I believe we should all know that Martin Luther King fought for what he believed in, he did not let little things get him down.

  6. Martin Luther King, Jr. Kyla Grade 2 Healey School The way we can keep Martin Luther King’s dream alive is to give love to others. We shouldn’t be mean…Whatever our color, we have to have great respect and love. We should all care for each other. Shiv – Grade 2 – Healey School All people can keep Martin’s dream alive. Martin Luther King had a speech to tell everyone to be fair…People need to keep listening and following King’s speech.
